Casting Out The Demon Of Addiction "The elephant in the room"

Matthew 12:28-29

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his possessions, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.

What are demon spirits?

Demons are spirit beings without bodies. They have an intense desire to live in a body so that they can carry out their own desires and use that body for their own purposes. Demon spirits desire to break all of God’s laws and promote extremes and abuse. Emotional, sexual, intellectual. Demon spirits are not confined to human bodies but will live in animals as well. Demons desire unclean bodies. Demons are evil personalities.

When dealing with addiction many times you are addressing a demonic presence. This is not something that we want to talk about because many feel that they are not equip to deal with it. But demon spirits are real and many people in addiction know that they are in a place that they can’t define. I have dealt with many demon spirits, so I feel comfortable to talk about my experiences. There are things that you are looking for when casting out demons. Remember you are dealing with darkness, so in casting them out in the name of Jesus, which represents His authority produces light in the individuals life. You should see that light immediately once the demons have been cast out. Also demons are expelled through saliva, you will need a bucket underneath the person to catch whatever comes out of them. There is a lot more that we will talk about in future post.
